About the IPA Community

1.  What is this community about?

A professional network for Indonesians working or building careers in Ireland. We focus on career growth, networking, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.

2. Who can join?

• Indonesian professionals currently in Ireland

• Indonesian students planning to work in Ireland

• Indonesians with confirmed job offers in Ireland

• Individuals of any nationality who have a professional or academic interest in Indonesia

3. Is this a religious or political group?

IPA Ireland is a non-political, non-religious, and professionally focused community. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and neutral environment where members can engage constructively regardless of background or beliefs.

4. Is there a membership fee?

At present, there is no membership fee to join IPA Ireland.

However, we are exploring the possibility of introducing a structured membership model in the future. This would allow us to:

• Formalise the association

• Provide curated newsletters with insights into the Irish job market

• Organise structured networking events

• Deliver career-focused workshops and professional resources

5. Can the community help me get a visa?

We do not provide immigration services. For official information, always refer to the Irish government website.

6. Does the community offer job referrals?

IPA Ireland does not guarantee job placements or formal referrals.

In Ireland, professional referrals are typically based on trust and established relationships. Rather than approaching networking solely to seek job opportunities, we encourage members to:

• Build genuine professional relationships

• Engage meaningfully in discussions

• Show initiative and curiosity about companies and industries

• Contribute value to the community

• Strong professional rapport often opens doors organically.

7. Do you host networking events or workshops?

Yes. We have previously hosted online seminars covering topics such as:

• Employment permits and visa experiences

• Transitioning from student to professional life

• Work culture in Ireland

In the future, we plan to organise both online and in-person events, including:

• Career development workshops

• Industry panels

• Professional networking sessions

• Practical seminars on living and working in Ireland
