About us
Founded in 2024, our association was established to bring together Indonesian professionals across Ireland under a shared vision of connection, growth, and community. As a woman-led organisation, we are committed to creating an inclusive and empowering environment where professionals can thrive.
Recognising the need for a dedicated platform, we aim to support career development, encourage collaboration, and build a strong network where members can learn from and uplift one another. Through professional, cultural, and social initiatives, we strive to strengthen the Indonesian presence in Ireland while fostering meaningful relationships both within our community and beyond.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Sharmila O'Hara
Our Executive Director brings an international perspective and strong industry experience to the organisation. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Tsukuba before relocating to Ireland to pursue a career in the technology sector. She began her professional journey at IBM as a Business Analyst and has since progressed into her current role as a QA Analyst at Merative.
Alongside her professional work, she is further strengthening her expertise by pursuing a Professional Diploma in Data Protection Law and Governance at University College Dublin, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and leadership in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Board Members
Nadya Chan
Nadya brings a background in Actuarial Science and professional experience in the actuarial field. She is passionate about contributing to the Indonesian professional community in Ireland and supporting initiatives that strengthen connections and opportunities among Indonesian professionals.
Bliss Coleman Hutahaean
Bliss has a strong connection to Indonesia through her family and brings professional experience in education and youth development. She is passionate about community engagement and contributing to initiatives that support and connect the Indonesian community in Ireland.
Jonathan Suryadiputra
Jonathan is a software engineering professional with experience in the technology sector and has been involved with the Indonesian Professionals' Association Ireland since its early days.
With his longstanding connection to the organisation, he brings valuable experience and insight as part of the team working to strengthen the professional network of Indonesians across Ireland.
Student Volunteers
Aruna Jauharil
Aruna is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting at University College Cork (UCC). As part of her volunteer role, she will be supporting our team with operations and administrative activities particularly in Cork city, contributing her skills and enthusiasm to help strengthen our organisation.
Zachary Anwar
Zachary is currently pursuing an MSc in International Management (Business Administration and Management) in Galway. As part of his volunteer role with our organisation, he will play an active role in supporting administration, membership engagement, and event operations.
