🔊 IPA Ireland Seminar:
Career Journeys, Industry Transitions & the Value of IPA
Our October IPA seminar took an unexpected but rewarding turn when, due to illness, our planned guest speaker Paddy Corry was unable to attend. The IPA Committee adapted the programme and instead hosted an informal and engaging session focused on career journeys, industry transitions and the value of professional networks.
Our Executive Director shared insights from her own career experience, including her recent transition between industries, and reflected on how being part of IPA can support professional development, career exploration and meaningful connections.
The session also featured a valuable contribution from Alex, an IPA member and Senior Employee at Amazon, who shared practical advice on CV preparation and navigating the job-hunting process. His insights provided members with useful perspectives on how to approach the job market and present their experience more effectively. We are also delighted that Alex has offered to provide mentorship to IPA members, with further details about the mentorship opportunity to be announced by IPA soon.
The presentation and discussion were followed by coffee, risoles and refreshments, giving members the opportunity to continue the conversation, share experiences and connect with fellow professionals. It was a relaxed and enjoyable morning that highlighted what IPA is all about: bringing people together, exchanging knowledge, supporting one another and building a strong professional community.

IPA Ireland Networking & Charity Brunch
Our recent brunch event was a wonderful opportunity to bring members and supporters of our growing organisation together for an enjoyable afternoon of connection, community, and meaningful giving.
We are delighted to share that the event raised a total of €300.47, which was donated to Bali Baby Home to support the children and the important work of the orphanage. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making the event a success and look forward to hosting more engaging events and initiatives in the future.

Connect Over Coffee - Galway
IPA Ireland recently brought together Indonesian students, professionals, and members of the Indonesian diaspora in Galway for an engaging community event focused on connection, networking, and professional development.
The event provided a welcoming opportunity for participants to meet fellow Indonesians, build meaningful professional and personal connections, share experiences, and celebrate the achievements of our community. It was a wonderful gathering that reflected IPA Ireland's commitment to fostering a strong, supportive, and connected Indonesian diaspora in Ireland.

📢 IPA Seminar: Working in the Irish Civil Service
The first in person IPA Seminar was held on Saturday, 8 August 2026, at Charleville Mall Library. The session provided participants with valuable information about career opportunities within the Irish Civil Service, including the recruitment process, workplace culture, and practical guidance on preparing and submitting successful job applications.
Participants also had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session, share experiences, and network with others interested in pursuing careers in the public and social sectors. The event was informative and engaging, offering attendees practical insights and useful advice to support their future career development.

The Indonesian Professionals' Association hosted a webinar for Indonesian students and early-career professionals exploring career opportunities in Ireland.
The session featured Indonesian graduates from Queen's University Belfast now working in Dublin, who shared practical insights on job searching, networking, and building a career in Ireland.

This event was fully booked, reflecting the strong interest and need for a supportive community among Indonesian women in Ireland. The event brought together professionals from diverse backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and discuss the opportunities and challenges of balancing career aspirations with family life.
The brunch created a welcoming space for meaningful conversations, knowledge sharing, professional networking, and peer support.
